Exemple 1 :
Discours direct
« « Your brother will be here next Friday », she said. » (« Ton frère sera ici vendredi prochain », a-t-elle dit.)

Discours indirect
« She said that his / her brother would be there the following Friday. » (Elle a dit que son frère serait là le vendredi suivant.)

Exemple 2 :
Discours direct
« « These events make this day unforgettable! », he said. » » (« Ces évènements rendent ce jour inoubliable », a-t-il dit.)

Discours indirect
« He said that those events made that day unforgettable. » (Il a dit que ces évènements rendaient ce jour inoubliable.)
